Tip of the Week

January 5, 2015

If you use it, you won’t lose it!

To increase comprehension of concepts, equations, and languages, encourage your child to apply her knowledge in her own life. For example, if your child is learning how to calculate area, have her calculate the area of her bedroom, the kitchen or family room. By applying what she’s learned to something different in her life, she will enhance her understanding and keep her hard-earned knowledge from fading away. One of our mantras at Engaging Minds is: “If you use it, you won’t lose it!”
