Tip of the Week
A focus hack
Students’ minds are busy. They’re thinking about what’s next, what just happened, what their friends are doing, what’s on their phone… often all at once. When their attention is split, they’re not able to complete their best work.
One simple way to bring them back into the moment and improve focus quickly is to make their thinking more intentional.
Before starting an assignment, have your child say out loud:
“Right now, I’m working on…”
It might sound small, but it does something important. It anchors their attention. Instead of bouncing between thoughts, they’re choosing a direction.
In a world full of distractions, focus doesn’t just happen. It needs constant intentionality.
