Tip of the Week

By giving your child a choice, you’re giving them a voice

When approaching schoolwork with your child, consider guiding rather than telling. Empowered students, students with choice, feel engaged in their schoolwork and motivated to grow. So rather than being directive, discuss options with them. After all, there’s usually more than one “right” way to solve most problems. By suggesting various options and allowing them to choose, you’ll empower your child to take ownership of their decisions while boosting their self-confidence and cultivating their independence.
