Hope is a powerful motivator but is it enough?

Every athlete entered the Tokyo Olympics brimming with hope and promise. Yet, as Olympic athletes know, hope is a great start but it’s not enough to guarantee a medal. To find success, it takes consistent effort, dedicated practice, and follow through. As the school year gets underway, keep in mind that while your child may have every hopeful intention of following through on all of the goals they set, they may not have the tools or skills in place yet to bring them to fruition. Remember: If they could, they would. If they can’t, the adults in their lives need to help guide them. Hope is a powerful motivator, but it’s only a preliminary step to being successful.
