Tip of the Week

February 24, 2026

See the future!

Most students focus on what’s due tomorrow. It feels urgent and concrete. Meanwhile, the paper due in three weeks or the upcoming exam quietly fades into the background. For many students, out of sight truly means out of mind, especially when assignments live across multiple portals and email.

The fix is more visibility. Create one master monthly calendar that tracks papers, projects, extended readings, and exams. Then make reviewing it part of the daily homework routine.

Keep it simple and visible. Choose one system your child will actually check:

  1. Digital: Enter major dates in Google Calendar or a planner app and set reminders.
  2. Paper: Post a one-page monthly calendar near their workspace.
  3. Hybrid (often best): Track dates digitally, review them nightly on paper.

Seeing what’s ahead helps students plan their time rather than just react to it.
