Tip of the Week
A Little Effort Goes a Long Way
Question: What happens when you don’t exercise a skill set for an extended period of time?
Answer: When you come back to it, you’re rusty and it takes time to regain your form.
Summer learning loss is real and it can hamper your child’s start to the new school year. This infographic tells the story concisely.
Good news, though: summer learning loss can be prevented.
Our Tip: Working with a coach or otherwise, set aside time each week this summer for your child to devote to academics. Whether it’s reading from a summer reading list, journaling summer adventures, or fun math games on the computer, engaging your child’s mind in school skills each week will pay huge dividends come September.
