An approach to boosting self-confidence

When school becomes difficult or overwhelming, it’s only natural that a student’s self-confidence begins to wane. When you see this happening, help your child set small goals that are quickly attainable. (For example: Commit to tracking all of your homework assignments in your agenda book for one full day (and then build from there).) Every time a student achieves a goal or realizes a success, she begins to believe that she can, and she becomes increasingly intrinsically motivated. Generate enough quick wins and her self-confidence will begin to blossom again.
