Avoid the Bad Habit Abyss!

This is around the time of year when bad habits start creeping back into a student’s daily routine. Stop those bad habits in their tracks! Your child has been holding everything together for about a month and it may feel like he’s finally turned a corner this fall (and he may have!). But even the best laid plans sometimes fall by the wayside, especially when pressure mounts and workload increases. And that’s when it’s most important to stick with those good habits and push through. If changing habits were easy, we’d all eat better, exercise regularly, and get to bed earlier. Changing habits takes consistent effort, practice, and follow-through. Now is a good time to check in and reinforce those good habits because it’s a very slippery slope into the bad habit abyss.
