Back-to-School Shopping Requires Planning!
Sales on school supplies are beginning to crop up all over town. Though it feels early, it’s an excellent opportunity to highlight the importance of planning ahead and making lists.
- Does your child prefer a binder for each class, one big binder with dividers, or an accordion folder?
- Does he want a separate folder only for homework?
- What kind of planner/calendar will he use to keep track of his assignments?
- Are specific tools required for any classes (for example, a graphing calculator or colored pencils)? By starting the process now and creating a list, you will limit end-of-summer stress, streamline the time spent on-site shopping, and provide real-world executive function practice for your child.
