Color code notes to organize ideas and information

A great way for students to organize class notes or annotations is by writing different types of notes in different colors. For example, notes for History might include 1) people, 2) dates, and 3) events; each category can have its own color. For a novel annotation, your child can code major characters in red, plot twists in blue, literary devices in green, and themes in purple. The possibilities are endless, but the organization of ideas is clear, visible, and colorful on the page.
