Easily distracted? Change the environment.

If your child is easily distracted during homework time, try changing the environment. The right conditions (discussed in a previous Tip and blog post) and location make an enormous difference in a student’s focus. Some students do best in the dining room or den; others need a more secluded spot. The key point is that if it’s not working, be flexible and try something different.
