Make a plan to finish up summer reading

The summer is coming to a close and many students have summer reading and writing to finish up. As we suggested in our July 8 Tip of the Week, make sure your child has a definite plan about how to accomplish any assigned work that’s still remaining. Use a calendar and work backwards from the first day of school to divide up any reading or writing that is due. Time is short before school starts, but there’s still time to design a thoughtful plan and ensure your child gets all of his work done to the very best of his ability.
