Prioritize Based on a Rationale

Learning how to prioritize the order in which a student tackles his homework is a skill that supports his ability to plan, manage time, and initiate tasks. Work on prioritizing tasks based on a rationale. Doing so will ensure he’s approaching his work intentionally and with purpose. For example:

• I’m going to do this assignment first because…
• I’m planning on tackling this task next because…
• This assignment can wait because…
