Schedule breaks into the nightly homework agenda

Homework can feel daunting if your child believes he’s got to sit and stay focused for 60, 90, or 120 minutes at a time. To help your child feel less overwhelmed and more in control of his homework and time, schedule breaks into his nightly homework agenda. Working in shorter bursts (say, 20 minute intervals with five minute breaks) feels much more manageable and achievable. And with a planned break upcoming, his work time will be more focused and productive.
