You don’t have to be an Olympian to think like one

As the Winter Olympics unfold, we’re watching athletes fly down mountains, stick landings, and shave milliseconds off the clock.

What we don’t see are the training plans, routines, and countless reps behind the scenes.

Olympic athletes don’t rely on motivation when it’s time to compete. They rely on routines, planning, and repetition built long before they ever step onto the ice or snow. That’s executive function.

Help your child build their own “school training plan” by:

  1. Setting a consistent homework routine (every athlete has a practice schedule)
  2. Making a simple game plan before starting (every training starts with a plan)
  3. Breaking big assignments into smaller, doable steps
  4. Using short, timed work blocks instead of endurance events

Success isn’t won in a single moment. Gold is earned through practice, preparation, and smart strategies.
