Finding the right balance

It’s important to determine the optimal quantity of after school activities for your child. Extracurricular activities have many benefits: they build confidence, teach teamwork, require personal accountability, and offer a wonderful outlet for children to try new things. However, too many activities can pose a challenge for students that struggle with executive function skills especially around organization, planning and time management, and initiation of tasks. Help your child find the right balance to ensure he also has enough time and energy to focus on his homework.
