“Stay-cation” learning can be fun!

Is your family enjoying a “stay-cation” this week? Great! You don’t need to travel very far to give your child a valuable (and memorable) experience. For an under-the-sea adventure, there’s lots to see and learn at the New England Aquarium. If the great outdoors are enticing, Mass Audubon offers a host of outdoor educational activities all week long. For your budding scientist or artist, check out the vacation-week offerings at the Museum of Science and Museum of Fine Arts. As if just having fun weren’t enough, to promote executive function skills practice, have your child do the research and all the planning for your excursion, from the destination to the route to get there to how much time to allot for your adventure!
