Preview your child’s new schedule together

Your child’s schedule is likely going to be different from what it was last year, so take some time to review it with them before school starts. Previewing their schedule ahead of time will give your child the opportunity to take ownership, ask questions, and get comfortable with what’s in store day to day and week to week. Back-to-school time can feel a little topsy-turvy, and helping your child understand their schedule will reduce anxiety, eliminate confusion, and create structure in which your child can function more effectively.
