There is rarely such a thing as an overnight success

There is rarely such a thing as an overnight success. Success happens when you put in the work.  It’s hard to help students understand the importance of planning, preparation, and execution, but sometimes pop culture provides an opportunity. Newly minted seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is a timely example. Tom Brady hasn’t won seven Super Bowls by being lucky, and he hasn’t won more Super Bowls than any other team or player by hoping everything will just turn out ok. Tom Brady wins because he prepares. He develops a game plan with his coaches and he executes the plan. Consider starting a conversation with your child with this question: How do you think Tom Brady has been able to win more Super Bowls than any other player?
