Prioritize homework with a rationale

Urge your child to prioritize the order in which she’ll attack her homework assignments, based on a rationale. Many students give little thought to the order in which they’ll tackle their homework assignments. Some students naturally go after what’s top of mind while others subconsciously put off large tasks and focus on the work that’s immediate and quick. By thinking through the reasoning behind the order in which she does her homework, your child will ensure she’s giving enough time and energy to all of her work, not just some of it. In addition, it will help her approach her homework feeling empowered, confident and more in control.
